Sunrise Angkor What

This weekend a new volunteer from Taiwan, Owen, arrived. He was new here and didn't know what to do his first days so I proposed him to join me for a sunrise moment at Angkor What.  People keep recommending this moment, so we couldn't leave Siem Reap without experiencing this!

I had high expectations, and they were absolutely fulfilled! We were lucky to see a sunrise, because it's not obvious to see one during the rain season. We had to leave at 4.30 AM to take a 30 minute tuk-tuk ride. Everything was dark so we used flashligths to find our why through the temple. I'm glad we left in time, because half an hour later the lake was filled with other tourists but we had a perfect spot of course! ;)

Around 5.30 AM the black sky turned dark blue. Half an hour later the sun was there. It was an astonishing moment to experience! I can recommend this to everyone if you are travelling in Cambodia!

Here are some pictures:

We had the best place, nanaaah!
This beautiful moment just made my day!
